The Technical Trainee Programme 2.0 is our commitment to closing Nigeria’s engineering skills gap — training HND graduates on live projects, under the mentorship of the professionals who’ve built and maintained the plants powering our industries.
Over the course of the programme, you’ll move from classroom fundamentals to site-based execution, with structured learning, real deliverables, and a clear path to a full-time role.

Graduate Mechanical / Piping Engineer
Work alongside senior engineers on equipment design, piping layouts and technical drawings. Expect hands-on exposure to site activities as installations move from paper to plant floor — the discipline where mechanical fundamentals meet real-world execution.
- Support equipment design and piping layout development
- Assist in preparing technical drawings, isometrics and specifications
- Participate in site activities including installation and modification works
- Learn engineering standards, drawing packages and material take-offs
- Contribute to as-built documentation and site reports
Graduate Process Engineer
Support the calculations that keep our process plants running efficiently. You'll help size equipment, develop process flow diagrams and P&IDs under close mentorship — building the analytical foundation of a career in process engineering.
- Assist in process calculations and mass/energy balances
- Support equipment sizing for pumps, heat exchangers and vessels
- Contribute to Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs
- Learn to interpret and update process documentation
- Participate in process reviews and HAZOP sessions
Graduate Instrumentation Engineer
Learn how we specify, install and test the instruments that measure and control our clients' plants — from datasheets and loop drawings through installation, calibration and commissioning.
- Assist in instrument selection and datasheet preparation
- Support loop drawing development and hook-up details
- Participate in installation and testing under supervision
- Learn calibration and pre-commissioning practices
- Contribute to instrument index and cause-and-effect matrices
Graduate Automation Engineer
Work on the control systems that automate our clients' operations. Shadow senior engineers on PLC and HMI programming, control documentation, and the testing and commissioning that brings a plant to life.
- Support PLC and HMI programming under guidance
- Assist with control system documentation and I/O lists
- Contribute to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Participate in commissioning of automated systems
- Learn industrial communication protocols and SCADA basics
Graduate Electrical & Electronics Engineer
From load calculations to wiring drawings and site installation — learn how power distribution and control wiring come together in industrial projects, alongside experienced electrical engineers.
- Support electrical load and cable sizing calculations
- Assist in equipment and switchgear selection
- Contribute to wiring drawings, schematics and single-line diagrams
- Participate in installation, testing and pre-commissioning
- Learn earthing, lighting and small-power design principles
Graduate Internal Sales Engineer
Handle the technical and commercial back-and-forth that keeps our sales pipeline moving — enquiries, product selection, quotations, and order tracking. Ideal for a graduate who's technically curious and commercially minded.
- Respond to customer enquiries with technical accuracy
- Support product selection and specification matching
- Prepare quotations and commercial proposals
- Follow up on orders through fulfilment and delivery
- Coordinate with external sales, procurement and logistics teams
Graduate External Sales Engineer
Represent Greenpeg at client sites across Nigeria. Develop your presentation, negotiation and business development instincts alongside seasoned sales engineers — with real accountability from day one.
- Participate in client site visits and technical meetings
- Support development of new sales opportunities
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations
- Manage customer follow-up and relationship building
- Contribute to sales reports and pipeline reviews
Do you qualify?
Every trainee meets the general requirements, plus the specific requirements for their chosen track.
General
- Completed NYSC or holds a valid exemption certificate
- HND from a recognised institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills
- Willingness to learn, take direction and work collaboratively
Engineering Roles
- HND in an engineering discipline relevant to the chosen position
- Strong understanding of relevant engineering fundamentals
- Interest in engineering design, calculations, technical drawings and modelling
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other relevant engineering software is an advantage
- Willingness to work at project sites, including offshore locations, when required
Sales Roles
- HND in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Strong interpersonal skills and genuine interest in technical sales
- Willingness to learn product applications, prepare quotations and work toward sales targets
- For External Sales roles: comfort with travel and client-site visits
